Markup that holds: making the price you quote the price you charge

Every agency has a story about the quote that changed. The agent priced a trip on Tuesday, the client said yes on Thursday, and somewhere in between the margin vanished or the total crept up. Some of that is supplier prices moving, and some of it is that the quote and the checkout were worked out in different places, under different rules.

Traviology is set up so that second problem doesn't happen. Here are the questions agency owners tend to ask about it.

Where do markup rules live?

In your operator console. Org markup rules come with every bundle, next to email templates and send logs. Set your margins once and they apply to what your storefront sells. Curated packages carry their own markups, seasons and inclusions, configurable per brand.

Does Trip Planner use the same rules?

Yes. The Trip Planner page says so directly: markup and currency behave the same in the planner as everywhere else on your storefront. Build a three-stop trip, read the running total, and your pricing rules are already in it. Nobody takes a net figure and marks it up by hand before sending.

What about flights and hotels searched on their own?

Same principle. Flight offers from every content type come back in a single results list with your markup already in the price, and hotel results are priced under your commercial rules. Guests only ever see your brand.

And when supplier prices move?

Rules can't stop an airline changing a fare. What the booking flow does is catch the change before money moves: flights are repriced and availability is confirmed before ticketing, and hotel rates are confirmed before checkout. In the planner, moving a date or a stop re-shops the affected legs and the total follows. The client pays a checked price, with your rules applied.

How does currency work?

Platform and Enterprise include multi-currency organization wallets, with invoicing and finance adjustments in the admin. Card payments and wallet top-ups run through Stripe Checkout on your storefront. Refunds are handled from the same admin.

What does Traviology take?

Worth knowing before you set margins. On the Platform plan the platform share is 1.5%, charged on completed storefront sales, with platform fees added on top. On Enterprise it's negotiable. Exact plan pricing comes on a call.

What should I check before going live?

The plans page lists what each bundle includes, from markup rules to wallets.

The Trip Planner demo is the quickest way to watch a running total move as you add legs.
